CODING
• Experience includes: XML, HTML/HTML5, PHP, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, and MySQL , with emphasis on repository software (Dspace, Omeka, Islandora, etc.) and content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)

DESIGN
• Strong foundation in design for the web and traditional art principles include experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), GIMP, and a variety of online image editing.
• Studio design project for Instructional Design won the Blue Sock Award, a peer review award for best design of the year (2005).

• User Experience/Usability/Universal Design experience conducting qualitative and quantitative usability testing and accessibility testing such as surveying, card sorts (online and in-person), click map analysis, path and statistical analysis, online tools (5 Second Test, WAVE, 508 Checker, Evaluera, Google Accessibility Tools, etc. Site reviews and UX analysis for OCAF, artists from WWWomen Artists, UGA Libraries, and others.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Sole developer, project manager, and designer for GEAR, an institutional repository and archive for the ATCx3 Consortia (Albany, and Atlanta Technical Colleges. Developed project, communicated progress, and engaged with all institutions, ensuring project is transparent and inclusive.
• Workflow development, graphic design, coding, and interface development for the ETD (Electronic Theses & Dissertations Database hosted by the UGA Libraries, 2007-2013. Identified default field values for facilitating crosswalk of metadata into the Libraries’ catalog (MARCXML to MARC). Create, document and communicate electronic submission workflows between the University of Georgia Graduate School, Libraries Systems’ and Cataloging Departments, and the Honors’ College.
• Project management for database maintenance work for the University of Georgia (ExLibris’ Voyager; 5+ million records); largest project managed was 170,000 records needing investigation and resolution.
• Active project participation through committee and team group work across departments (University of Georgia, Athens Technical College, Emory University at Oxford College), University of Georgia System (USG)/GALILEO, among others. Contribute to USG wide effort to customize VuFind (branded as GILFind) to better meet library needs and expand usage to all USG libraries. Serve as the test coordinator for the University of Georgia (2009) through identifying potential testing participants, outreach to testing participants, collecting results, and collocating results for the committee.
• Collaborated with Athens Technical College library staff on digitization guidelines and workflows, co-author of Libguides resource guides on OER, copyright, among other topics.
• Strong project management skills through using appropriate technologies such as Wrike and Slack, email, calendars, and reports, to communicate timelines, project process, and share information. Experience with survey tools Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey. Create and conduct surveys, writing reports identifying user needs, attitudes, among others.
• Proficient in social media and tools to automate content dissemination. Setup publishing workflows for WordPress, Twitter, and Instagram creating a multiplatform stream for news and information. Serve as the social media coordinator for CTL.

INSTITUTIONAL REPOSITORY/DIGITAL LIBRARY
• Research software solutions for GEAR through reviewing 18 opensource and commercial software, testing 5 software (Dspace, Omeka, Islandora, Fedora, Equella), and writing recommendations for the top two candidates that best meet the TAACCCT grant mandates of support for Creative Commons licensing, OER, and accessibility in addition to long-term viability (Spreadsheet 2014 https://goo.gl/DiJAkw)
• Coordinated GEAR testing process for repository software including installation, configuration, and testing of Omeka, Fedora, Islandora, and Dspace for potential repository use; coordinated, developed and tested Equella on Pearson server; and coordinate installation of GEAR for production on ATC domain.
• Installed 26 plugins to increase functionality including support for LCSH and Dublin Core Qualified, user experience enhancements including embedded document viewers, Internet Archive bookreader, sharing to social media, among others.
• Write custom code (PHP; CSS) to extend functionality and user experience including rewriting CSS of JQuery Carousel plugin to ensure that images scale properly in Firefox (44 and other versions), rewrite of CSS of Internet Archive Bookviewer so that it scales properly on mobile devices, custom code to provide download links by format (suppressing download link on items which only have a bookcover thumbnail), among other enhancements.
• Created customized templates and designs for various projects (GEAR, the Center for Teaching & Learning at Athens Technical College, the University of Georgia’s ETD Database, and other UGA projects) in HTML, CSS, and/or PHP. Contribute to branding and identity development for projects.
• Develop information architecture, taxonomies, metadata standards (Dublin Core Qualified mapped to MARC) (Georgia Knowledge Repository – Dspace; ATCx3 – Omeka).
• Setup harvesting protocols (OAI, XML) in GEAR and work with the national TAACCCT repository group to ensure that harvesting occurs within appropriate grant timeframes.
• Create customized Google search engines (CSE) for various projects (University of Georgia Cataloging Department web page, Libraries’ Blog, GEAR, among others) including customization of Google CSS and refinement of search protocols.
• Additional repository experience with locally created software such as the Electronic Theses & Dissertations Database, NAME (DLG authority control database), among others for UGA through testing, development, and cataloging. Served on the Georgia Knowledge Repository (GKR) Portal, Technical Oversight, and Content and Metadata Groups.

DRUPAL
• Installed and designed several sites in Drupal including robinfay.net. Assisted the Pennsylvania State Library System in migrating all of their library websites to Drupal through providing support, training, and problem solving with Drupal (Lyrasis project). Created guidelines and tutorials for using Cpanel, installation of Drupal, basic customizations of design, and a list of suggested modules (Drupal 7).
• Serve as a Trainer for Drupal working with a variety of educational and nonprofit organizations including the Newton County Public Library.
• Provided resources and guidance to the University of Georgia Libraries in their Drupal exploration. Setup a test installation (2010) on a private server for Web Editor and provided additional resources.

WORDPRESS
• University of Georgia (UGA) Libraries Blog Admin designer (2005-2013). Setup and test installations, develop CSS/PHP templates and work closely with content editors. http://www.libs.uga.edu/blog/ (redesign 2016)
• Installed and developed site, wrote content for the Center for Teaching & Learning Athens Technical College (CTL) website; WordPress installation and design for numerous personal sites.

TECHNICAL AND COPY WRITING
• Created metadata schema and best practices for GEAR, a digital library of documents and images for a higher education consortia of technical colleges; Co-developed initial metadata standards for the Georgia Knowledge Repository and co-wrote metadata proposal standards for Learning Objects housed in the Civil Rights Digital Library (CRDL). • Classification and description of approximately 200 grant related materials and additional archival material (500 items) following metadata guidelines for describing photographs and multimedia, as applicable.
• Lead author of CTL’s successful application for a HP / NMC Sparking Entrepreneurial Thinking Grant which sponsored an entrepreneurship and technology bootcamp for teaching faculty.
• Produce faculty instructional materials, handouts, and workshops on topics ranging from mobile apps to mobile photography to Google searching.
